Experimenting with gold leaf

I was looking to create something with an added dimension, I used modelling clay to create the relief outline of the leaves and decided to video the whole process, which my daughter thankfully has speeded up.

In all, its taken around 5 hours to produce, plus drying time, its been a long but thoroughly enjoyable process.

Here is my final video in the process, where I apply some sparkle and gold leaf to three of the leaves.

In fact I enjoyed it so much, I then produce Maple leaf but with this one, I wanted to create a feeling of movement, so left some of the gold leaf in place.
