Sugar Cane Bay

In the process of extracting pictures from my studio, in preparation for Hampshire Open Studios, This picture is from a photo taken at Cane Garden Bay, which is situated on the north shore of Tortola, in the Caribbean. It was such a lovely place, I named the picture after how sweet the day was.

When using a box canvas, I am a big fan of wrapping the picture around the canvas, giving it a 3D effect, rather than masking the sides, as I think it adds an extra dimension.

It also gives me a perfect place to sign, which doesn’t detract from the picture.
